This renovation and extension project is a contemporary addition to a charming existing Art Deco inspired house. Designed for adaptability, the building is capable of changing with the growth of its resident family. Common spaces are divided into multiple zones (family zone, kid zone, outdoor living zone) providing the flexibility to compartmentalize or merge interior and exterior spaces.
The roof form reaches eastward as a gesture to direct sunlight into these spaces. Existing elements and colours such as white paint and red bricks continue through out the new building envelope, tying the new and the old together.
